What You Can Experience at the Terrace Theater

When you first approach the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, you’ll notice an impressive water fountain the size of a swimming pool, with dazzling streams of illuminated water beaming into the air in perfectly timed patterns. Beyond the fountain, the three-story high glass doors extending the width of the building reflect the lights from the fountain, creating a sensational effect that invites you inside to begin your evening. 

As you approach the Lobby, you’ll find the lounge-style outdoor Plaza, equipped with comfortable seating, outdoor fire pits, gas heaters, and decorative plants. You can hang out here if it’s too early to go inside, or you can visit this space during your show’s intermission.

Upon entering the Lobby, you’ll be greeted by a sense of grandeur as you stand beneath the extensive glass windows and a gleaming chandelier. From here, you may progress up the suspended staircase to the Loge or Balcony sections or enter directly into the Orchestra, depending on your tickets. 

Each theater row is carefully elevated above the previous one to offer a clear view of the stage. You’ll notice the theater’s ceiling features large, white geometric panels, carefully designed not just for style but for optimal acoustics as well. The ceiling will illuminate throughout the show, offering an exposition of lights as you’re enrobed in perfect volumes of music.
